Gallery for paintings and statues by Petra Paffen
EXPOSITIONs 22, 23,29, 30 April and 6, 7 May 2011 EXPOSITION in the old postoffice in the Dutch town of Wijchen, thats near Nijmegen. Opening hours: 11 - 21 hours on Fridays and 11 - 17 hours on Saturdays. Click here for the pictures and comments by visitors.
Together with: Paul Lagrouw (bronze), Harmen Sliep (drawings), Annita Ammerlaan (paintings), Ada Andrea (keramics and bronze), Hans Gardenier (keramics), Floris van Dalfsen (painted shoes) and with help of Connie de Graaf (sculptor). We present ourselves as "7 from Holland". What we make is very different. Every one of us has his or her very own approach: Paul critisizes, Harmen reflexts, Ada goes straight forward, Hans is playful, Anita realistic and I am romantic. In Wijchen we proved that together we can create a compelling show. You will surely see us again. 12,13 and 26,27 June 2010 Making the bronze sculpture escape from an angel at studio Lemarez in Rijsoord. The statue is ready and unique, as most of my works are. 29 and 30 May 2010 EXPOSITION of sculptures and paintings at atelier Frederikshoeve in Oudenhoorn, near Rotterdam. The exposition is a yearly event for all connected artists that follow courses or join the open-atelier organised by the owner: Dutch artist Ada Andrea. It is organised in the garden and barn of her 19th century farmhouse. Febuary 2010 I tried to submit the bronze statue named surrender in the art competition on 'happiness' by the art museum Boymans Beuningen in collaboration with the art academy at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and gallery Artihove in Bergschenhoek. After 25 calls and mails to its submission address in Artihove, as well as mails to the co-organisors at the University of Rotterdam and the curator of the Rotterdam Museum of Boymans Beuningen (that were kind but unsolving), I gave up... Blast, would love to enter an art competition! 13 October 2009 - January 2010 EXPOSITION of the paintings in 'de Parel', a sports- and meeting complex in the village of Fijnaart, just south of Rotterdam. Walk to the balcony on the first floor. The gallery booklet is available on the ground floor, on the table next to the lift. Click the menu bar to go on
